Andrew Left Rush Hour on Wall Street and NYC After 9/11 to Start the Health-Focused Rush Bowls Franchise

Andrew Pudalov, founder of Rush Bowls, built a fantastic career on Wall Street, working for over a decade through the ranks of various financial institutions. Prior to 9/11, Andrew was the Global Director of US Fixed Income Derivative Trading for the National Australia Bank. After 9/11, Andrews priorities changed, but little did he know a health-focused franchise called Rush Bowls was soon to follow. 

“Like most Americans, my life was changed by 9/11. Many people lost friends, family and colleagues that day, myself included. It was a terrifying experience; my wife actually worked a block away from the Towers, and thankfully walked away unharmed. I woke up on September 12 with a new perspective on life – you never know what will happen in life so you should live it to the fullest.”

This was the catalyst that Andrew needed to leave his Wall Street career, and afterwards he moved his family to Boulder, Colorado to start his next professional venture. While Andrew and his wife were living in NYC, they noticed a lack of healthy eating options in the city. After making the official move to Boulder in 2003, Andrew met up with a friend that had opened a smoothie shop, which were very popular in the early 2000’s. The smoothies were great but always left Andrew looking for a little more.  Andrew wanted a product that had the flavor, nutrition, versatility, and the convenience of a smoothie, but in meal form. Thus, Rush Bowls was born. 

Rush Bowls, provides a healthy meal-on-the-go that is made up of thick, creamy, all-natural fruit, topped with organic granola and honey, blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients. Smoothies are offered, but the bowls are the main draw with over 30 options on the menu. The bowls are available in vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and dairy-free options. Anything can be custom-made to cater to any dietary needs. 

While Andrew was extremely successful on Wall Street, he knows he made the right decision to leave the busy city behind and become a business owner. Rush Bowls has given Andrew the opportunity to be closer to his family and provide a healthy product to the community that all can enjoy. Rush Bowls has been operating for a healthy 12 years now and last year started their franchising initiative.
